You can recreate the look and feel of a bar or a pub by adding a few pieces of furniture in your den or kitchen. If you already have a mini bar or a breakfast nook that can double as a drink area during the night, all you have to do is add several swivel bar stools to complete the look.

Swivel bar stools are better than ordinary high chairs because they are more comfortable to sit in and offer range of movement. There are some swivel stool models which can swivel a full 360 degrees, which is great if you’re trying to have a conversation with other people on the other side of the room or if you want to reach for something. Better yet, some swivel stools are air lift so you can adjust the height of the stool to the height of the bar or table.

While such pieces of furniture may sound expensive to you, there are actually reasonably- priced swivel bar stools available in the market. If you’re on a tight budget don’t go for those which are made of expensive wood and have real leather upholstery. You can also try looking for used swivel bar stools and just have them reupholstered or refurbished.
