The event is being organized by my company Affinis Labs and sponsored by Facebook.
Beda Tapi Satu (bedatapisatu.com) is a social impact hackathon taking place in Jakarta between May 31-June 2 that uses Indonesian creativity and passion in a fast paced, 48-hour race-against-the-clock to imagine new digital platforms and tools that can promote the strength of Indonesia’s diversity and promote peace. The hackathon ends with a pitch session on June 2, which will be live-streamed to a global audience that will help vote for the winners.
We hope you could share the link with your community and could recommend candidates who could really benefit from participating in this unique hackathon from May 31- June 2.
If you can’t participate, I hope you will consider being a mentor or judge given your experience and talent. As a mentor, you would spend 15 minutes with each team on June 1 between 3-5 pm listening to their idea, giving them constructive feedback and offering advice with respect to execution, branding, messaging, and more. You’re free to stay to continue helping teams if you like.
As a judge, you would attend the pitch session from 7-9:30 pm on June 2, which will be live-streamed to a global audience that will help vote for the winners. You can draw from your deep expertise in grading and critiquing each idea, and offer constructive feedback to all teams, as even those who do not win may move forward with their ideas.
