013/365 Motorcycle Queue on Jakarta Zoo

in a public holiday like today, amusement or recreation park will be very crowded, visited by people all-around the city. this also happened in the only Zoo in Jakarta, Ragunan Zoo, not so far from my house.

we can see people using motorcycle lining up waiting for their turn to enter the parking area.

huff, I would rather go to alternative recreation place like city forest or movie theatre or bookstore than being stressful lining up in the stuck queue like this 😀

012/365 Sharing Road to Mapres Fasilkom UI

Sore ini gw presentasi di depan, sharing pengalaman tentang mapres tahun lalu dan beberapa kiat terutama tentang karya tulis dan CV.

Bareng gw, yang juga ikut presentasi ada dosen gw, Pak Adila, Manajer Kemahasiswaan Fasilkom yang cerita lebih teknis tentang pelaksanaan Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi Fasilkom UI tahun 2010 ini.

Juga ada Pak Hisar Maruli Manurung, dosen gw juga, Mapres Fasilkom dan UI tahun 1996 yang menginspirasi kita bahwa kita harus jadi mapres dengan ‘m’ kecil, mahasiswa-mahasiswa yang berprestasi di berbagai bidang.

Senang, yang dateng rame, hampir 50an orang 🙂

011/365 Bengkel Resmi Honda

kira-kira setiap bulan, harusnya motor Supra gw diservis rutin di bengkel. tapi dasar gwnya bandel, ga pedulian, dan dipadu dengan males, gw jarang ke bengkel.

akibatnya, pas ke bengkel honda hari ini buat ganti oli sekalian, mas-mas mekaniknya bilang, “ini motor nggak dirawat ya, diservisnya telat.. udah kotor banget itu (di salah satu bagian mesinnya, -red). salah-salah bisa nyamber ke bagian motor yang lain, jadi rusak semua..”

huff.. meskipun ini motor orang tua gw, tapi gw yang make tiap hari, jadi harus gw yang inisiatif buat ngerawat.. dicuci aja jarang, huhu..

kalo rusak gawat, operasional gw sehari-hari bakal terhambat banget.. baiklah pah, anakmu akan ngerawat motornya rutin mulai dari sekarang!

010/365 Scratch on Helmet

somebody unresponsibly dropped my helmet from my motorcycle (I put the helmet on the rearview mirror) when I parked it in my campus’ parking area.

hard-dropped from more than 1 metre tall, my helmet now has severe scratch on the face protector. too bad.. I don’t know who did this, so I can’t claim this damage.. It’s quite uncomfortable using helmet with scratch on the face..

huff 🙁

009/365 Belalang Sembah/Cangcorang

pagi ini, tiba-tiba aja ngeliat ada makhluk ini di garasi rumah gw. walaupun belakang rumah gw masih itu kebon, dan halaman depan rumah gw rimbun ditumbuhi rumput dan pohon, gw udah lamaaa banget ga ngeliat hewan ini.

nama populernya itu belalang sembah, atau biasa disebut cangcorang/cancorang. kenapa sembah, karena bentuk tangannya mirip orang yang menyembah-nyembah.

bener-bener deh, hewan eksotis ini udah jaraaaang banget keliatan, seiring dengan makin hilangnya ruang terbuka hijau. mudah-mudahan dengan gambar ini kita ga kangen lagi sama ini hewan

008/365 Performing Once a Year

My faculty in university has an annual event named Computer Get Together (CGT), where all faculty member from students, lecturers, to janitor and security gather in games competition & music festival.

Since 2006, I’ve been performing in the music festival every year. And that’s the only occasion I’m performing on stage! So I play bass on stage just once a year! 😀 Thank God I still have a chance to utilize & improve my right brain 🙂

007/365 Public Garden

It’s the most expensive view in Jakarta. a green open space (Ruang Terbuka Hijau = RTH), a lush public garden in the middle of housing area. Thank God I’m living in the south Jakarta area so I can still see this healthy (yet expensive) view.

From 6 area (Kotamadya) in DKI Jakarta Province, South Jakarta was designed as water absorption area. we can see gardens like this in much places, althought unfortunately some of them converted (yes, trees chopped down) into office building, commercial places, and housing area 🙁

On of my dream is to buy garden like this, preserve all the trees and water absorption area, create an amusement park, jogging track, etc. So that people can gather here, take a walk, doing exercise or jogging, and children can climb the trees, playing barefootly on the ground, hide and seek, etc. All for FREE! Really want to realize this dream. Wanna help me? 🙂

005/365 Idea Capturer

This is a good habit I’ve been doing for years. Keeping little notebook on my trousers’ pocket, along with the pen on the other pocket. Everytime I found some ideas, thought, inspiration, learning, everything that are worth while, crossing my mind, I’ll pick my notebook up and write those.

In the future, we can elaborate those ideas deeply, expanding the ideas, or just recall the ideas to implement at the right time in the future. Great ideas will never come twice. So write any ideas you find! And yes, this habit never disappointing me 🙂

This is the picture of my work table in my bedroom. It’s about 40cm in height, I sit on my floor spring bed to working on my laptop.
